DAY 1: Arrival in Reims in the morning for a tour of the Cathedral and the city center. You’ll discover the city closely linked to the coronation of the kings of France. After lunch in a typical Reims brasserie, you’ll discover the Gallo-Roman Crayères, listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site, during a visit to a famous Champagne house. In the late afternoon, head for the Montagne de Reims vineyards to meet a winemaker who will explain all about the work in the vines. Dinner in the city center, overnight in a 3* hotel.

DAY 2: Meet in Châlons-en-Champagne for a lunch in the city center before setting off to discover the Gallo-Roman cellars of Joseph PERRIER champagne. After a tasting of the king of wines, you’ll take a boat trip and admire many sites and Chalonnais monuments from an unusual angle. Dinner downtown, overnight in 3* hotel.

DAY 3: Off to Lac du Der for a visit to the Musée du Der, retracing the history of three villages that have disappeared and plunges you into the heart of an authentic Der village! After a local lunch, you’ll discover the lake on board the «au fil de l’eau» boat. On your way to Troyes, you’ll stop at Longsols to
admire its half-timbered church. Dinner in downtown Troyes, overnight in a 3* hotel.

DAY 4: Guided tour of Troyes, a city of art and history, which invites you to stroll around in a medieval atmosphere. Before lunch in the heart of the city, visit the Cellier St Pierre for a tour and tasting of Prunelle de Troyes! The afternoon is devoted to a visit to the Maison de l’Outil et de la Pensée Ouvrière, which houses a collection of tools from the 17th and 18th centuries. After free time, dinner in the city center and overnight at your 3* hotel.

DAY 5: Follow in the footsteps of Pierre-Auguste Renoir at Essoyes. Visit the Du Côté des Renoir center, the painter’s studio, his home and the cemetery where he rests. Lunch, followed by a visit to the cellar, to discover one of Renoir’s champagnes! Then on to the brand-new Musée de la Résistance de l’Aube, which recalls occupation of the département during the Second World War the Aube Resistance fighters, before
returning to Troyes for dinner and your 3* hotel.

DAY 6: Head for Nogent-Sur-Seine for a «Walk with Gustave Flaubert». A guided tour of the town to
discover the 19th-century Nogent that Gustave Flaubert knew when he visited his cousins, and which he used as the main setting of his novel L’Éducation sentimentale. Lunch in the heart of the city and guided tour of the Camille Claudel Museum. It was in Nogent-sur-Seine that Camille Claudel, as a teenager, affirmed her vocation as a sculptor when she lived there with her family. Today, some forty of her works are on display, making it the world’s largest collection, enabling visitors to discover her artistic career.
