MORNING :
Guided tour of the St-Loup Museum, a museum of fine arts and archeology located in the Saint-Loup abbey built in the 17th century. The Museum of Fine Arts offers the visitor a very coherent collection of French paintings from the 14th to the 19th century. The Archeology Museum owes its existence to revolutionary confiscations. Over the years, major development works in the city and the region have revealed numerous remains which have completed the initial collection. You will continue with a visit to Cellier St-Pierre and its distillery nestled at the foot of the cathedral before a tasting of Prunelle de Troyes in the newly restored 13th century barn.
Local lunch.
AFTERNOON
You will visit magnificent Troyes: the historic Saint-Jean-au-Marché district with the typical ruelle des chats, the courtyard of the Mortier d'Or and the Ste Madeleine church (12th century). Finally you will discover the Museum of Knitwear, Fashion and Industry - Museum of the Renaissance in Champagne. Evocation of the most emblematic activity of Troyes, European city of knitwear. Ancestral know-how and textile creation. From wooden looms to sophisticated machines from the “Golden Age” of the 19th and 20th centuries.
